God is: a Reflection on Psalm 108, Habakkuk 3:1-18, Philippians 3:12-21 and John 17:1-8

Our God’s steadfast love is higher than the heavens. And, he is the victor. The Evil One has already been defeated. The God of our salvation is renown. God is at work in us enabling us to will and to work for his good pleasure. The Father has given to the Son those who have eternal life. The reality of election is still a mystery to me; but true.

Scripture texts are taken from the two-year daily lectionary cycle which follows the liturgical calendar and begins on the First Sunday of Advent.
