God is: a Reflection on Psalm 68:1-10, Amos 5:6-15, Hebrews 12:1-14 and Luke 18:9-14

God’s name is the LORD. He is the Father of orphans. God is the protector of widows and the provider for the needy. God is with us. He is gracious to the remnant. Scripture texts are taken from the two-year daily lectionary cycle which follows the liturgical calendar and begins on the First Sunday of Advent.
